Shipping and Receiving Associate

We are currently looking for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing the physical or administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, and supplies.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training is needed, but beneficial
• Self-driven, detail-oriented and goal focused
• Being a team player and willing to contribute wherever necessary
• Ability to effectively communicate and follow up in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance
• Willingness to learn
• Driver’s License
• Experience with the operation of a forklift

Primary Duties

• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
• Lifts heavy items and may operate any motorized vehicle equipment within the warehouse, to include, but not be limited to forklifts
• Prepare & stage items to be delivered
• Help move inventory between warehouse and storefront
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by performing annual inventory counts and weekly/monthly cycle counts

Physical Demands

• Frequently lifts or moves objects/freight & equipment up to 50lbs and or moves objects that weigh more than 100lbs
• Frequently bends, lifts, stoops to check in freight on a daily basis
• Frequently accesses freight for damages
