News Director – Storm Lake Radio

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Community First Broadcasting dba Storm Lake Radio is hiring a News Director at our studio in Storm Lake! If you’re passionate about news gathering and delivery, we’d love to talk to you!! This full time position includes writing new stories, composing newscasts and communicating local severe weather safety notifications to your coverage area. Other duties include reporting quarterly issues, maintaining our community calendar and more as assigned.

The qualified candidate must be an excellent reader, writer and communicator. Broadcast experience is preferred, but training will be offered to the perfect energetic candidate. Optimal organizational skills are a must. To apply, please email your resume and references.

DETAILS:

The position requires a variable 40-hour work week, will be adjusted for off campus meetings, live remote newscasts on location, or severe weather coverage.
