Inventory Coordinator

Job Title: Inventory Coordinator (Retail)

Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our retail team. This role is responsible for tracking and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring products are properly received, stocked, and available for customers. The Inventory Coordinator will work closely with store leadership, vendors, and team members to support smooth day-to-day operations and help prevent stock shortages or overages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately receive, count, and record incoming shipments.
• Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Coordinate product transfers, returns, and markdowns.
• Work with store management to forecast inventory needs and assist with restocking.
• Maintain clean, organized stock areas and follow all inventory procedures.
• Generate inventory and sales reports as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail inventory control, merchandising, or stock management.
• Familiarity with POS and inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including weekends or evenings as needed.
