Events and Marketing Coordinator

KZIA, Inc (Z102.9, KGYM, SmartFM, X107.5 and CI Digital Group) is looking for someone to work in our very active promotions and events department—planning, organizing, working and selling our events.  Imagine working with truly local radio brands that consistently have events and are also attached to the sharpest digital advertising in Iowa.

We’re a locally-owned radio and advertising company.  We believe that working hard and having fun go hand-in-hand. We usually feel like we’re juggling balls and bowling pins, with a chain saw thrown in on occasion.  Are you ready for that level of complexity, organization, and detail?

We create and attend large events, some events that repeat often, some events that are glamourous, and some are not.  Part of your time will be spent planning events, then presenting to potential sponsors, and last organizing and executing.  Some of your time will be in the field working events like farmers markets, live broadcasts with our airstaff, Z102.9 Win Dough stops and other events.  You will also organize back-end details so that promotions and contests are executed well.  This position works best for someone who thrives on variety, has great communication skills and who has a lot of energy and optimism.

Also, a plus if you like to brainstorm ideas around our great clients’ or our own goals.

Hours/days of the week vary based on time of year and events scheduled, including some nights and weekends.  This position has hourly compensation.
