Assistant Plant Superintendent – $28/hr. + shift differential

Monday – Friday: 2^nd shift 3:00pm – 11:00pm

Are you a dependable, hands-on leader looking to grow your career in plant operations? A local production facility in Sibley, IA is seeking an Assistant Plant Superintendent to help oversee day-to-day production activities. This role supports the Plant Superintendent in ensuring efficient operations, quality production, and compliance with all safety and food safety standards. The Assistant Plant Superintendent works closely with plant employees and management to maintain a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Plant Superintendent in managing daily plant operations to keep production running safely and efficiently.
• Lead and motivate team members while maintaining a clean, safe, and positive work environment.
• Ensure product quality by coordinating testing, monitoring production, and following all food safety standards.
• Operate and oversee plant equipment, complete shift reports, and communicate any issues quickly.
• Help manage inventory levels and order supplies or chemicals as needed.
• Take part in audits, safety programs, and continuous improvement efforts, stepping in for the Superintendent when needed.

Requirements:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and air systems.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Basic math and computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Willingness to work alternate shifts or overtime as required.
• 85–90% of time will be spent on the production floor, working alongside plant employees.
