Afternoon Drive Host / Content Creator

KZIA is looking for its next Afternoon Drive personality for heritage Top 40 station Z102.9. We’re searching for a dynamic, creative, and digitally driven talent who understands today’s CHR audience and knows how to connect across every platform.

This is more than just an on-air shift. The right candidate will play a key role in shaping the daily sound, energy, and digital presence of Z102.9 while creating compelling content that entertains and engages listeners wherever they consume us — on-air, online, on social media, and in the community.

What You’ll Do

• Host and produce a high-energy Afternoon Drive show
• Create engaging, relatable, and locally relevant content
• Execute strong CHR formatics and music presentation
• Maintain an active and authentic social media presence
• Produce short-form video, reels, and digital content
• Represent Z102.9 at station events, promotions, and community appearances
• Collaborate with programming, promotions, and digital teams to grow audience engagement
• Contribute creative ideas for contests, benchmarks, and station imaging

What We’re Looking For

• Previous on-air experience in CHR/Top 40 radio
• Strong understanding of current pop culture, music, and social trends
• Experience with social media strategy and audience engagement
• Comfortable creating and editing video content
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools
• Strong writing, communication, and content creation skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced media environment
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Bonus Skills

• Music scheduling or programming experience
• Podcasting or long-form content experience
• Experience with live broadcasts and promotions
• Knowledge of digital analytics and audience growth strategies
